because balance was never the goal ~

There are seasons when everything moves fast ~
when ideas wake you before the sun,
when “no sleep for the weary” stops being a saying and becomes a way of life.
when your creative self runs wild,
and your intentional self subtly nods and holds on.

those are the seasons when slow living goes into hibernation ~
when momentum hums louder than rest.
and i’ve learned to meet that pace with grace ~
to trust that there will be another season ahead
when the ideas quiet,
the inspiration softens,
and the rhythm returns to stillness again.

because balance was never the goal ~
continuity is.

maybe sustainability isn’t only in what we buy ~
but in how we live ~
how we let each season carry what it must,
and how we keep choosing to love it all again.

so here’s to another day of “where are your shoes?”
and “please, just get in the car,”
and to working well past what we know we should,
and to the kindness we show ourselves in doing so ~
from a deeper knowing that this season too, will pass.

we’ll call it sustainable chaos ~
the kind that grows alongside us.
